We are aware of our responsibility as a company to care for the environment and contribute to a cleaner and more balanced future. In line with this commitment, we have taken a significant step by installing <strong>more than 2,000 photovoltaic modules<\/strong> at our facilities, which will allow us to generate <strong>over 1,150,000 kWh of renewable energy<\/strong> each year.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1504\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">This initiative is part of our long-term strategy to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources and align with the <strong>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, especially <strong>SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy<\/strong>. Our goal is to be an active part of the transition to a more sustainable energy model, where clean energy plays a key role.<\/p>\n<div class=\"reader-image-block reader-image-block--full-width\">\n<figure class=\"reader-image-block__figure\">\n<div class=\"ivm-image-view-model \">\n<div class=\"ivm-view-attr__img-wrapper \"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"ember1506\" class=\"ivm-view-attr__img--centered reader-image-block__img evi-image lazy-image ember-view\" src=\"https:\/\/media.licdn.com\/dms\/image\/v2\/D4D12AQFSU4dFvpjpXg\/article-inline_image-shrink_1500_2232\/article-inline_image-shrink_1500_2232\/0\/1729601930200?e=1736380800&amp;v=beta&amp;t=t055660v9sERceihSqPC0eDZVc3qYLshhkhBkoCPN6g\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"ember1508\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>Conversion and equivalency:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CO\u2082 eq: We have calculated avoided CO\u2082 emissions using the CO\u2082 eq parameter of the annual electricity mix published by the <strong>Generalitat<\/strong>. You can find more details on these emission factors <a class=\"app-aware-link \" href=\"https:\/\/canviclimatic.gencat.cat\/ca\/actua\/factors_demissio_associats_a_lenergia\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Tree eq.: The CO\u2082 absorbed by a tree can vary considerably depending on its type, age, and other factors. We use an average based on the <strong>Pinus halepensis<\/strong>, located in the eastern Iberian Peninsula, which absorbs approximately <strong>78 kg of CO\u2082 per year<\/strong>. For more information on these equivalencies, see the table published by the <strong>Ministry for the Ecological Transition<\/strong> <a class=\"app-aware-link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.miteco.gob.es\/content\/dam\/miteco\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/mitigacion-politicas-y-medidas\/guiapa_tcm30-479094.pdf\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Kg of coal eq.: Represents the amount of coal that would need to be burned to generate the same amount of CO\u2082 we avoid by using solar energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"ember1510\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">These figures reflect the positive impact we are generating in reducing our environmental footprint. With the total production of our photovoltaic panels, we avoid burning over 122 tons of coal and reduce CO\u2082 emissions by more than 350 tons annually. This effort is equivalent to planting more than 4,500 trees that would absorb that amount of CO\u2082 each year.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1511\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">These advances reflect our belief that growth and sustainability are not mutually exclusive but can go hand in hand. Each photovoltaic module installed not only brings us closer to our sustainability goals but also symbolizes our commitment to protecting natural resources.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1513\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>Benefits of using photovoltaic energy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1514\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Solar energy is one of the cleanest and most accessible sources to reduce the environmental impact of business activities.
